Teruteru bozu

21 May

Yesterday the student council asked everyone to make teruteru bozu, which are charms to invite good weather. Teruteru means “shining brightly,” while bozu means “boy” or “priest.” Put them together and you get…cute little ghosts!

Apparently they worked; yesterday the forecast was a 70%/50% chance of rain all morning. We had a bit of rain before I woke up, but as of now, things are looking good for Sports Day! We start in 30 minutes. I’m so excited!
