Kyushu shinkansen!

2 May

Back in March, Japan inaugurated a new bullet train (shinkansen) line here on Kyushu, finally connecting the entire island to the rest of Japan’s shinkansen network. Because there is little else to do here on Kyushu, many people (myself included) went out to either cheer on or take a ride on the shinkansen’s maiden voyage.

Out of that, the shinkansen company made a video of its very first trip. Nobody was paid to be in this video or anything; it’s just honest footage of awesome Japanese people cheering their nation on.

It’s happy-making stuff.😀
